The building that stands as the Belize Supreme Court building today was built in 1926 and is the third incarnation of the facility. The first two burnt to the ground, first in 1820,, then again in 1918.

What to Expect
Because the Supreme Court and the magistrates court are still active in this building, it is not open to the public. Still, it remains a popular stop off on tours for visitors to check out the unique architecture and learn about local law and order via a tour guide.

Suprume Court Building

The Supreme Court Building features classic British Colonial architecture, complete with a clock tower that has four clocks -- one for each cardinal point.

Staying Close
Those wishing to visit Supreme Court Building may choose to book their trip in Fort George, since travelers to this area of Belize will have the benefit of easy site access during their time there. There are a decent amount of hotels in the district within range of this attraction.
