Prepare for an extraordinary snorkeling experience as you journey to HOL CHAN Marine Reserve, one of Belize's oldest and most treasured marine protected areas. Starting at 9:30 am and lasting until 2:30 pm, our excursion takes you to multiple breathtaking locations, including: Hol Chan: Begin your adventure in the shallow back reef and gradually venture into deeper waters. Marvel at the majestic coral structures that line both sides of the channel. Encounter colorful reef fish among the coral formations and observe larger schooling fish taking refuge in the deeper channel. Shark and Sting Ray Alley (SSRA): Get ready for a unique opportunity to swim with friendly nurse sharks and graceful stingrays. These magnificent creatures frequent the crystal-clear, shallow waters, allowing for an incredible, safe encounter. North Channel: Explore this area and witness large colonies of Elk horn and Stag horn corals. With a high likelihood of snorkeling alongside manatees, this stop is sure to be a highlight of your journey. Chato’s Reef: Enjoy a relaxed stop in shallow waters at an old fisherman's cleaning station. Savor lunch with a view of the vibrant reef, creating lasting memories of this picturesque spot. Tarpon View: Discover the fascinating world of tarpons, large silver fish that frequent the area, adding to the diversity of marine life.
