Description
Begin your tour at the Maya ruins of Xunantunich, also known as the 'Maiden of Rock.' Climb the 'El Castillo' pyramid for a 360° panoramic view of the surrounding jungle. Next, enjoy a one-hour drive to Barton Creek Cave.
At Barton Creek Cave, take a canoe trip approximately one mile along a winding river that flows through cathedral-like chambers and wide passageways. This cultural and natural site was used by the Maya for ceremonies, sacrifices, and offerings to their gods. Inside the cave, you can see artifacts from this period.
