Description
The transfer begins with a hotel pickup at 6:00 am in Tikal National Park. Your driver will confirm your name before departing. The first leg is a 40-minute drive to the Ixlu crossing, where you’ll change to a shared bus service that continues toward the Belize border.
During the trip, immigration forms for entry into Belize are provided. The bus travels approximately 1.5 hours to the Guatemala-Belize border, where you disembark for customs and immigration procedures. Shops and stores are available at the border for snacks and beverages.
First, passengers complete Guatemala's exit process at the migration building, then walk about 100 meters to Belize's immigration. If any passenger encounters immigration delays, a wait time of up to 20 minutes may occur. Once completed, the bus continues for 20 minutes to San Ignacio, where passengers can be dropped off or picked up.
The journey resumes with a roughly 2-hour drive to Belize City. Upon arrival, you disembark at the San Pedro Belize Express Water Taxis Terminal. Here, the pilot will assist with your luggage, and you can find restaurants and stores nearby.
At the terminal, visit the Atlanta Express Office to receive your ferry boarding passes for the San Pedro Belize Express Water Taxi to Caye Caulker. The ferry ride takes about one hour before arriving on Caye Caulker Island.
