The tour begins with a 7:30 AM pickup from San Ignacio followed by a 1.5-hour drive to the Mountain Pine Ridge Forest Reserve. Upon arrival, take a 10-minute walk to Rio Frio Cave for an exploration of this natural formation.

Next, travel to the nearby Chiquibul Forest Reserve to visit the Caracol ruins. This site was once the largest Maya city in the lowlands, surrounded by diverse flora and fauna. Walk the ancient trails used by Maya nobles and citizens during a 3-hour guided tour of the archaeological site.
