Description
The service begins with a 6:00 AM pick-up at your hotel in Tikal National Park. The driver will have your name for identification. You will board a vehicle and transfer approximately 40 minutes to the Ixlu junction, where the routes from Tikal, Flores, and the Belize border meet. At Ixlu, you will change buses, coordinated by the service, to a shared bus heading to Belize.
Immigration forms for entering Belize will be provided during the journey. After a one-and-a-half-hour drive, you will arrive at the Guatemala-Belize border to complete immigration and customs procedures on foot. All travelers must carry their own luggage during this process.
Shops are available at the border to purchase drinks and snacks. First, you will complete exit procedures at the Guatemalan Immigration Office, then walk approximately 100 meters to the Belizean Immigration Office. If any passenger experiences delays with immigration, there will be a 20-minute wait; otherwise, the bus continues promptly.
After completing immigration, you will board the bus again for a 25-minute drive to San Ignacio, where passengers will be dropped off at hotels in the town center, including Hold House, Bellas Backpackers, and Yellow Belly.
The journey then continues for another 1 hour and 45 minutes to Belize City, arriving at the San Pedro Belize Express Terminal. From here, travelers can connect to ferries for Caye Caulker and San Pedro Ambergris, or take a taxi to Belize International Airport. The terminal also offers shops, restaurants, and taxi services.
