Spend an unforgettable morning at Ixcacao Chocolate, Belize's oldest Maya-owned chocolatier. See cacao growing on the tree and taste the ripe cacao fruit during harvest season. Indulge in Maya style hot chocolate and delicious chocolate samples. Henry Cho guides us through the process of cacao growing and fermenting as well as the traditional chocolate making using heirloom stone tools. Tour their small factory to see how they make their famous chocolate bars. End your experience with a wonderful all you can eat farm to table meal prepared by Abelina Cho, the Chocolate Queen. After your chocolate adventure, continue on to the gorgeous Belize Spice Farm & Botanical Gardens in Golden Stream, Belize. Amongst the flowers and trees of this tropical landscape, we get our hands on cinnamon, cardamom, vanilla, allspice and black pepper plants. We touch and taste these spices and learn about their origins, uses and how they are cultivated and processed. You will never look at your spice rack the same way again!
