Description
The adventure begins at 7:00am with a team member meeting guests at the San Pedro Belize Express Water Taxi Terminal. Between 6:30am and 6:45am, the guide in a Yellow Ridge and Reef Adventures shirt will purchase your boat ticket and wait with you at the boarding line for the 7:00am water taxi to Belize City.
Arriving at Belize City at approximately 8:30am, your guide will greet you near the luggage claim area and escort you to a vehicle for a 50-minute highway drive to the zipline location. After gearing up and receiving an orientation, enjoy the zipline tour, which usually lasts 45 minutes to 1.5 hours depending on the group's pace. Facilities are available before you depart for lunch.
Lunch is typically a traditional Belizean meal served either at the cave tubing site or a nearby restaurant along the 10-minute route to the tubing location.
After lunch, you will be equipped with a tube, life jacket, helmet, and headlamp for the cave tubing portion. The experience begins with a 15 to 30-minute hike along mountain foothills, where guides point out local tropical flora, fauna, and dry cave systems. A snack may be offered on the trail.
At the end of the hike, a refreshing pool awaits where you receive another orientation and equipment check. The tubing float runs downstream through a spectacular water-based cave system, lasting between 60 and 90 minutes depending on water flow.
By 2:30pm, you return to the starting point to change clothes, use facilities, buy souvenirs, or visit local snack stands. At 3:00pm, the journey back begins, boarding the water taxi departing Belize City at 4:30pm and arriving in San Pedro by 6:00pm.
