Description
The service departs at 12:00 PM from the San Pedro Belize Express Water Taxis terminal, located at the Atlanta Express office in Belize City. Guests should arrive 15 minutes prior to check-in.
After checking in, passengers board an air-conditioned bus for a 2-hour drive to San Ignacio, where they transfer to another vehicle for a 20-minute journey to the Belize-Guatemala border.
At the border, passengers disembark for mandatory baggage inspection and personal immigration and customs checks. The Belize departure tax of USD 20.00 or BZE 40.00 per person must be paid before exit.
Once through Belize Immigration, travelers walk approximately 100 meters to the Guatemala Immigration Office to complete entry procedures. Then they board the bus for a 1.5-hour drive to the junction leading to Tikal and Flores.
At the junction, passengers change vehicles for the final 25-minute drive to the first checkpoint of Tikal National Park. Park admission tickets are not included. The vehicle then continues for 20 minutes to reach Hotel Jungle Lodge, Hotel Jaguar Inn, or Hotel Tikal Inn within Tikal National Park.
