Description
The transfer departs at 12:00pm from the San Pedro Belize Express Water Taxis Terminal in Belize City. Check-in takes place at the Atlanta Express Office located inside the terminal.
Passengers board the air-conditioned bus, which then drives approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes to the Belize-Guatemala border. Upon arrival, the driver returns all luggage, as all bags must be taken off the bus for inspection.
Travelers complete Belize migration and customs procedures, including a mandatory departure tax of USD 20.00 or BZD 40.00, which is not included in the transfer price. After crossing Belize immigration, passengers walk about 100 meters to the Guatemala immigration building for entry formalities. Stores are available here for drinks and snacks.
Once all border procedures are complete, passengers reboard the vehicle for a 2-hour drive to Flores Island. The drop-off point is in front of the 'Yo Amo Peten' sign. Upon arrival, staff provide tourist information and details on tours to nearby archaeological sites and onward transfers.
