Description
Choose from several tour options including Cave Kayaking with hotel pickup in Belize City or cruise port pickup, Kayaking combined with ziplining, Crystal Caves exploration, private kayak tours, or multi-activity packages.
Meet your guide at the Cruise Ship Terminal or your hotel lobby depending on your selected option. Travel by air-conditioned vehicle on a one-hour narrated drive through the country, learning about local customs.
At the national park, receive helmets, jackets, lights, and paddles. Begin a forest walk to the river, crossing three waist-deep rivers along the way. Select a single or tandem kayak to start your paddling experience.
Kayak upstream toward the caves, admiring formations and practicing paddling. Stop for a swim in a natural pool. Then, paddle downstream through five caves, passing rapids, stalactites, stalagmites, and a waterfall before exiting into the sunshine and continuing downstream to the parking area.
Cruise passengers can add ziplining over the rainforest canopy before kayaking. Hotel guests may add ziplining or extend the tour by exploring the Crystal Cave with opportunities to swim in crystal-clear holes among large formations.
At tour end, board the van back to Belize City with drop-offs at either the Cruise Ship Terminal or your hotel. Lunch is available for purchase at the cave parking area.
For cruise passengers, tours start one hour after ship arrival. Early booking is recommended to accommodate tender schedules and limited spaces. Pickup is at Belize City hotels or Airbnb for hotel guests, and at Terminal One exit for cruise passengers.
