Immerse yourself in the vibrant culture of San Pedro with a hands-on Garifuna drumming class. Learn from a national champion under the biggest Sacred Ceiba tree on the caye. Play authentic Primero and Segunda drums, along with maracas, as you learn the history and soul-moving rhythms of Hungu-Hungu and Paranda. Feel the healing power of the beat as the sun sets over the Caribbean. Enjoy 90 minutes of pure magic in an overwater restaurant at The Mayan. After the class, stay for a sunset dinner while the drums keep playing live just for you. No experience is needed – everyone leaves smiling and with rhythm in their veins.
